The latest clinic updates regarding Covid-19/Coronavirus will appear here.

Please keep checking back for the latest news.

Information has been split into different sections below – please take the time to read this carefully prior to contacting or attending the clinic.

Watch our video to learn more about our Virtual Consults!

We have been getting great results with these to keep people going until they can come to clinic, or to avoid coming in at all!

As per Professional Body Guidelines we are operating a ‘Virtual First’ approach for all new clients or existing clients whose symptoms need further investigation prior to us approving a Face to Face consultation.

This is to keep everyone safe, whilst still offering the same high quality care we pride ourselves on.

CLINIC COVID-19 OPENING TIMES

We have taken great pride in remaining open throughout this unprecedented time, but have to follow guidelines from the Government as well as our Professional Bodies regarding business opening, and Face to Face Appointments.

To protect our staff and clients we are moving ALL ASSESSMENTS and any treatments virtually that we can, as well as working on Skeleton staff and reducing the opening times of the clinic for the remainder of 2020, and likely into 2021 to ensure safety for all and maximise resources

Revised Opening Times

1st September – 31st October

Mondays 9.30 – 15.00

Tuesdays 9.30 – 19.00

Thursdays 10.00 – 19.30

Fridays 9.30 – 18.30

We are continuing to review these on a regular basis, with the hope of increasing them in line with Government Guidance and Demand. From November we are hoping to open later on a Monday and then extend to some later evenings and Saturdays hopefully by the end of the year.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED

If you are attending clinic for an appointment please ensure you familiarise yourself with what to expect when you come in

Make sure you have your booking confirmation handy in case you are asked on your journey.

Read our updated Infection Control Procedures for the clinic

Complete a client declaration form that you have no symptoms, and meet the criteria for a Face to Face appointment.

As we are a multidisciplinary clinic we are not exempt (as other purely Physio clinics are) from displaying a QR code – so please scan in on entry to the building, or whilst you are in a waiting area – we will have plenty of signs around the place!

Our Privacy Notices are available for you to read below.

Although the card machine is back on site – we prefer payment in advance of your appointment. We will have online payment options available by October, and can take payments over the phone.

If you think you would prefer to move your appointment back by a few weeks/months or change to an alternative option other than Face to Face please contact us!

ENHANCED INFECTION CONTROL PROCEDURES

If you are attending clinic for an appointment please ensure you familiarise yourself with what to expect when you come in

We are not using any Linen around clinic – so bring your own with you if you want a bit more comfort than a plastic bed and paper roll!

Staff have access to and have been trained on the use of all appropriate PPE as recommended by our Professional Bodies –  we will be wearing this for F2F treatments alongside the clinic enhanced infection control procedures for the forseeable future.

Please see the video and infographic above for more information.

ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OPTIONS

We are doing best to remain open for those in need during this unprecedented time, but have to follow guidelines from the Government as well as our Professional Bodies regarding business opening, and Face to Face Appointments.

Please read our COVID-19 revised treatment options and prices below to see what you think may suit and then give us a call!

As always, we are evaluating each case individually and can recommend from there who the best person is for your problem, and the best way of delivering care for you.

ALL NEW CLIENTS OR EXISTING CLIENTS PRESENTING WITH A DIFFERENT PROBLEM TO WHAT THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN TREATED FOR WILL BE BOOKED IN FOR A VIRTUAL ASSESSMENT.

We have had great success with our Virtual Assessments and Treatments over the past few months and will be continuing with these as a way to improve efficiency for clients and our staff. This not only means we can triage clients effectively for urgency, and who to see – but also limits the contact in clinic to just the physical assessment side and treatments. This ensures the safety for staff and clients. We can also give you something to keep you going between your virtual and F2F sessions via our exercise software. See the video above for more information on our Virtual Consults.

PILATES UPDATES

Please keep checking here for the updates regarding our Pilates service.

CLASSES RESTARTING FROM SATURDAY 25TH JULY 2020 – ALL SPACES NOW ALLOCATED AND EMAILED TO THOSE WHO MEET THE CRITERIA TO ATTEND, AND HAVE REPLIED TO THE QUESTIONNAIRES

02/09/2020 – First full month of F2F classes alongside Virtual and think we have now sorted glitches in the system. Website with new virtual classes is updated by the Thursday at the latest each week, passwords for the new month sent out when it is changed. We have also now updated our main website for the Pilates service so please refer to there for any further updates: https://swanphysio.co.uk/services/pilates/

18/07/2020 – Carys has spent a fun Saturday solving the Pilates Puzzle, and all spaces in classes have now been allocated and emailed out to each student including their ‘Pilates Pod’ numbers! A Button has been added below for Client Declaration – which must be completed the day before attending class. Those requiring equipment will be contacted in the next few days but we will make sure you have what you need for your first class back.

13/07/2020 – We understand a large proportion of you did not receive the latest email a few weeks ago so we have resent it via outlook instead of our booking system in the hope it doesn’t go into junk this time – please complete the questionnaire soon, so we have time to get everything sorted ahead of restarting on the 25th July!

29/06/2020 – Information has been sent out to all existing clients – please return your questionnaires ASAP. We are still waiting for the green light to restart F2F classes… so our provisionally date of the 18th July 2020 may have to be moved back… the studio is ready and waiting though!

Our Exercise Studio is ready and waiting to keep people safe when they return to classes (Mats for illustration – you will have to bring your own from now on!)

03/06/2020 – Carys and Cat have a meeting scheduled this afternoon to discuss the future of this service – more information will be sent out in due course. Client and Staff safety is always paramount, and any decisions will be made in line with Government and Professional Body advice.

21/05/2020 – slight delay on Month 3 of classes as Carys hasn’t yet had chance to put them into the template as she has been too busy treating patients today… why not repeat your favourite week of Month 1 & 2… Month 3 will be sent out by the end of the Bank Holiday!

19/05/2020 – More filming taking place today which will cover classes up until July when we hope to look at re-openening the Exercise Studio (subject to Government advice). Classes will be available from 22/05/2020 in the morning as Carys needs time to edit them all, and has an extremely busy Clinical diary virtually and F2F this week!

21/04/2020 – Carys and Cat will be filming the next month’s worth of virtual classes. They will be released on the 22/04/2020 in the evening (as Carys needs time to edit them etc!) And passwords released weekly to all clients paid up to date via DD or blocks.

30/03/2020 – ISSUE WITH DOWNLOADING VIRTUAL PILATES VIDEOS

Some people have reported getting a ‘user busy’ or ‘too many users’ notification when trying to download the videos – if you try again another time this should resolve itself – unfortunately the system only allows one person to download it at a time and as the downloads can take a few minutes there has been a bit of an overlap at times. Let us know on admin@swanphysio.co.uk if you have any issues.

25/03/2020: Launch of VIRTUAL PILATES SERVICE

Visit our dedicated webpage for more information (Click the Button at the bottom of this)

The password for Week 1 will be sent out to all current Swan Pilates Clients by 2.30pm today, subsequent weeks will be sent out on a Tuesday by 5pm.
